Design and Implementation of a Real-Time Crime Prevention Analysis System Using OSINT and GIS

With the increasing emphasis on the importance of information in modern society, Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) has become an indispensable tool in national security, social safety, and business decision-making processes. This study explores the potential and scope of OSINT applications. It concentrates on combining it with Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) to produce efficient synergies in crime prevention and analysis. The research methodology involved integrating and analyzing real-time SNS data and various public information sources with GIS, designing and implementing a system that allows users to identify and respond to crime threats more effectively. The proposed method visualizes the spatial distribution of crime data through precise geographic mapping at the administrative district level, allowing users to understand crime trends in different regions intuitively. The proposed integrated approach holds the potential to evolve into a more in-depth crime analysis tool through future linkage with official crime statistics or reported data. The results of this paper provide a new direction that can contribute to crime response strategies and the maintenance of social safety, and additional research in this area is expected in the future as related technologies are developed. In addition, the combination of OSINT and GIS is expected to continue playing a pivotal role in national security, public safety, and business decision-making processes.
