Společné vyšetřovací týmy a účast České republiky

Joint Investigation Teams (JITs) are a flexible and effective tool for international cooperation in complex and time-sensitive investigations of cross-border crimes. In many cases, traditional channels of mutual legal assistance do not meet the operational needs of the authorities involved, making direct cooperation and communication between the relevant authorities the most effective method for tackling increasingly sophisticated organised crime. JITs allow national authorities in different countries to quickly and easily establish cooperation in investigations, leading to mutually beneficial participation in investigations. The Czech Republic is also involved in JITs regarding serious criminal acts together with foreign colleagues and not only from neighbouring countries. The article describes the legal regulation of JITs, the various forms of such agreements between the states and analyses data in relation with the Czech Republic involvement in JITs.
