Multiple higher-order mode generation using all-fibre structures

We propose an efficient, fully fibre-based method for generating multiple higher-order modes (HOMs) using few-mode fibre (FMF) and square core fibre (SCF) structures. By introducing FMF as the input, this approach enables the generation of multiple HOMs at the SCF output, offering a versatile and compact solution for advanced beam shaping.

Abstract

We propose an efficient, fully fibre-based method for generating multiple higher-order modes (HOMs) using few-mode fibre (FMF) and square core fibre (SCF) structures. By introducing FMF as the input, this approach enables the generation of multiple HOMs at the SCF output, offering a versatile and compact solution for advanced beam shaping.
