Advanced plasma deposition and post-treatment techniques for creating all-silica optical fibers with tailored properties
A major focus of this study is the role of monovalent dopants in the initial silica core material, as well as the influence of preform/fiber manufacturing processes on genesis of color center precursors inside the all-silica fibers. The findings offer strategies for optimizing the manufacturing of all-silica fibers, suitable for different applications in wavelength range from UV to IR, enhancing their spectral performance, requested mode mixing properties, and resilience for demanding applications in hard rad environment.
