ALUMNI CHAT : A SECURE PLATFORM FOR MENTORSHIP AND COLLABORATION IN ACADEMIC ECOSYSTEMS

The "Alumni Chat" platform is a dedicated communication system developed to enhance mentorship, collaboration, and professional networking between alumni and current students within academic institutions.Recognizing the increasing need for specialized educational communication tools, this project introduces a realtime, scalable, and secure solution tailored specifically for the academic domain.Using modern technologies such as Node.js,Socket.io,React Native, and JSON Web Token (JWT) authentication, the platform facilitates verified alumni-student interactions while maintaining strict data integrity and user privacy.This paper presents an in-depth look at the development methodology, architectural design, system functionality, testing outcomes, and future potential of the "Alumni Chat" system.It emphasizes how the platform addresses gaps in current networking tools by offering institution-specific features like alumni verification, real-time notifications, secure chat systems, and advanced search functionalities, ultimately fostering a more connected academic community.
