Power Allocation Scheme for OFDM-ISAC System
To meet the increasing demands for high sensing accuracy and high data rates in the intelligent applications of future sixth-generation (6G) mobile communication systems, Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) systems have gained widespread attention in academia. To explore the optimal power resource allocation scheme for multi-carrier OFDM-ISAC systems, this paper formulates a maximization-minimization problem, which aims to maximize the worst communication rate among communication users by optimizing the selection factor and the power allocated for the sub-carriers, with the power budgets in the sub-carriers, sensing requirements, and the sub-carrier selection factor constraints satisfied. To solve the formulated non-convex problem, an iterative optimization algorithm based on Successive Convex Approximation (SCA) is developed, where penalty factors and first-order Taylor expansion methods are used to handle the discrete binary selection factors. Finally, simulation results validate the proposed SCA-based algorithm's effectiveness in enhancing the OFDM-ISAC system's communication performance.
