Research on the Scheduling Optimization Model of the Virtual Power Plants Participate in the Electricity Spot Market

With the construction of the new power system, the rapid development of new energy and the prominent contradictions in the short-term supply and demand balance of the power grid, virtual power plants can fully tap into decentralized resources to better achieve optimal resource allocation through market mechanisms, and realize energy conservation and efficiency enhancement. However, the current market mechanism is not perfect and cannot ensure effective participation in market scheduling operations to obtain reasonable returns. Considering the establishment of a unified national electricity market, this paper studies the resource scheduling model of virtual power plants in the context of the electricity spot market, including dispatchable units, new energy units, energy storage devices, and adjustable loads. It proposes an optimization control strategy for virtual power plants to participate in the spot market, adapting to the fluctuations in new energy output, utilizing dispatchable units, energy storage devices, and adjustable loads to smooth out the volatility of new energy unit output. Through case analysis, the effectiveness of the proposed model and control strategy is verified.
