High-Impact Overload Penetration Attitude Measurement Using Accelerometer Array

To address the measurement challenges of motion attitude parameters during dynamic carrier penetration through target media under high-impact overload environments, this study proposes a 12-axis accelerometer array-based penetration attitude measurement technology suitable for compact spatial structures. The methodology measures carrier motion attitudes under high-impact overload conditions. The operational principle of accelerometer array-based penetration attitude measurement is elaborated, with an attitude solving model established based on multidimensional acceleration data. For the typical application scenario of inclined penetration into concrete media, finite element numerical simulation was employed to obtain carrier attitude angles and overload data from the accelerometer array. The simulation data was input into the attitude solving model combined with a data fusion algorithm to derive the attitude time-history curve. Comparative analysis between computational results and simulation benchmarks demonstrates maximum errors of 0.323° in penetration angle and 0.374 rad/s in angular velocity, validating the effectiveness of the proposed method.
