Research on Optimal Dispatch and Operation for Power Quality Improvement in Wind Farms
The wind generator installed capacity increases, the power quality issues arising from large-scale wind power integration, particularly focusing on voltage deviation, voltage fluctuations, flicker, and harmonics. It proposes a method to optimize the power quality output of wind farms under load-limiting operating conditions. Firstly, the paper analyzes the main factors affecting wind power quality, including wind speed and turbulence intensity, and highlights the close relationship between voltage flicker and the output power fluctuations of wind turbines. Secondly, it introduces an operational strategy to optimize the overall power quality output by adjusting the power output of different turbines within the wind farm. This method is based on the steady-state analysis theory of power systems and incorporates actual operational data from wind turbines to calculate voltage fluctuations and flicker values under various wind conditions. The effectiveness of the’ method is validated through data fitting and surface rendering using MATLAB. Finally, the paper concludes that under load-limiting operating conditions, rational adjustment of the power output of turbines within the wind farm can effectively improve the overall power quality output, ensuring the safe and economic operation of the power grid. This approach can also be integrated with wind power prediction systems to further optimize wind farm operation and scheduling, providing support for the stable operation of power grids with large-scale wind power integration.
