Investigation of Energy Efficiency Accounting and Project Levels of Data Centres Based on “Dual Carbon” Objective

The assessment and analysis of energy efficiency levels offer both theoretical frameworks and practical assistance for developing strategies aimed at energy conservation and emission reduction in projects. Moreover, it is essential for the sustainable development of project plans. This study initiates by outlining the relationship between energy consumption and carbon emissions within the framework of a regional data center project. The analysis subsequently evaluates the project's energy consumption through the principles and applications of energy conservation in various systems, including power supply, lighting, and HVAC. Energy consumption is subsequently assessed, and energy efficiency levels are evaluated based on annual comprehensive energy consumption, annual comprehensive energy consumption increment, and key energy efficiency indicators. A model for optimization evaluation is developed to assess the effects of the project's new energy consumption and the intensity of energy use in the city. The research offers a reference and guidance for the preparation of reports on the project's power supply scheme to achieve further the reduction of 'power supply + energy efficiency.
