Research on the Influencing Factors of Abnormal Electricity Profit of Electricity Sales Companies—An Empirical Analysis

With the deepening of electricity market reform, using digital means to analyze the market-oriented data of electricity sales companies helps companies to analyze their own development status and provides an effective basis for market supervision. Based on the analysis of abnormal profit of electricity sales companies, this paper puts forward an analysis model of influencing factors of enterprise profit of electricity sales companies based on the vector autoregression (VAR) algorithm. To locate the electricity sales companies with abnormal profits, we explore the relationship among the electricity profit, wholesale expenditure, retail income, and trading volume. We focus on analyzing the causes of abnormal profit and loss of electricity sales companies, to facilitate the power grid companies to provide the operation analysis service to electricity sales companies, assist the government's decision-making, standardize market transaction behaviors, and promote the reform of the electricity market.
