A Comprehensive Performance Analysis of a 25 kW Rooftop Photovoltaic System at Barishal Engineering College Using PVSYST
Electricity has become an integral part of daily life in the modern world. The need for energy to run home appliances, businesses, and communities rises along with the global population. Innovation and the development of sources of renewable energy are essential to meeting the demand for sustainable energy levels and preventing climate change. The goal of this study is to use PVSYST software to maximize the performance of a 25KW rooftop PV system that is connected to the grid. PVSYST software was used to construct the simulation of this project and the performance analysis of solar cells. Performance analysis may assist in the design, action, and upkeep of brand-new solar photovoltaic systems connected to the grid. This project will be located in the Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) building at Barishal Engineering College. Si-monocrystalline panel has been chosen because of its higher efficiency than other panels. The simulation result showed that the utility grid received an energy injection of 36 MWh/year. To produce 25 kW of energy, 66 monocrystalline solar modules, each of 390Wp on the roof with 129m2 area. The simulation found an 85.2% annual performance ratio. Whereas the highest performance ratio was achieved in January. In this simulation, about 20% efficiency was achieved on PVSYST analysis at STC.
