Numerical Simulation of Tin-Based Perovskite Solar Cell Incorporating 2D Graphene Derivatives as Hole Transport Layer: Optimization of Absorber Layer

Due to their non-toxic nature and stability, Lead-free tin-based perovskites and inorganic electron transport materials are emerging as a hot research topic in the renewable energy domain. In this work, the effect of the integration of 2-D graphene derivatives as hole transport layer (HTL) in methylammonium tin iodide (MASnI<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">3</inf>) based perovskite solar cell (PSC) has been analyzed and the superiority of reduced graphene oxide (rGO) over graphene oxide (GO) has been established using numerical simulation. Different structural parameters of the perovskite absorber layer (PAL) of rGO-based PSC have been optimized to enhance power conversion efficiency (PCE). Other photo voltaic (PV) cell performance metrics like open circuit voltage (V<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">OC</inf>), short circuit current density (J<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">SC</inf>), and fill factor (FF) have also been studied and analyzed.
