Research on the Application of XG Boost Based on Quantum Genetic Optimization
As a major international event, the Olympic Games have an outstanding impact on the sports industry. The quantitative prediction of the number of Olympic medals is a key link in the continuous development of such activities. Firstly, this paper analyzes the influencing factors of Olympic medals, constructing an index system for the number of medals. Secondly, the XG Boost Olympic medal prediction model based on quantum genetic optimization is established. The Olympic medals of 206 countries or regions from 1896 to 2024 are used to predict the medal list of Los Angeles Olympic Games in 2028. It is predicted that the top three of Los Angeles Olympic Games in 2028 are the United States, China and Japan, and the prediction interval of medals is given at 95 % confidence level. After adjusting the hyperparameters of the model by quantum genetic optimization, the prediction accuracy is 87.1 %, providing a scientific reference for the Olympic organizers and participating countries to carry out future events.
