The Reliability Improvement of Substation Primary Equipment Monitoring Devices and the Research on Lean Technology in Operation and Maintenance

Substations are pivotal components of power systems, where the reliability of critical equipment such as transformers and circuit breakers deteriorates over time due to various internal and external factors. Managing the maintenance of this equipment is a complex and routine task for power companies. While condition-based maintenance strategies have been increasingly adopted to improve efficiency, the high costs and current limitations of monitoring technologies pose significant challenges. Additionally, maintenance decisions should not only address the reliability of individual equipment but also consider the broader impact on grid reliability. This paper explores an integrated approach that combines equipment reliability theory with power grid reliability assessment methods to enhance maintenance decision-making for key substation equipment. The proposed method is applied to transformers and circuit breakers, providing a more scientific and effective strategy for managing substation maintenance.
