Influence of Power-Synchronization Grid-Forming Energy Storage on Short-Circuit Current
With the continuous expansion of the grid-connected capacity of power-synchronization grid-forming energy storage (PSGFES), its impact on the short-circuit current (SC Current) is increasing. The SC Current of the PSGFES under different limiting strategies are analyzed in detail. The variation of SC Current in the near area under different operating conditions of the PSGFES and different fault modes is analyzed by simulation. The influence law of PSGFES on the SC Current in the near bus is revealed from multiple angles, and the contribution amplitude of the energy storage to the SC Current of the grid-connected bus is quantified.
