Smart and Sustainable Tourism Development : Contention convenience and accessibility using Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality Technologies
The Internet of Things (IoT) is well acknowledged in the tourist and hotel industries for its ability to provide new business possibilities. The tourist and hospitality businesses may use IoT to improve client experiences, streamline operations, and raise profits. The modern tourist business faces tremendous obstacles, such as environmental deterioration, cultural disturbance, and socioeconomic disparities. This study investigates the innovative use of modern technology as a holistic solution to these difficulties, propelling the tourist industry in the direction of a more supportable future. Artificial intelligence appears as an important enabler for improving tourist operations and decision-making processes. Including this new technology into any company model offers several benefits, but there are also risks and challenges to consider, such as security and confidentiality. The objective of this paper is to explain how the Internet of Things (IoT) can transform how the tourist sector operates, as well as to offer readers with some of the industry's best market practices, trends, and data. Furthermore, IoT devices improve visitor safety and happiness by providing contextually relevant services. Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technology gave attractive experiences that change the way travellers engage with sites. AR enhances the cultural and historical context of sites and provides virtual tourist experiences. The findings highlight the possibility for a technology-driven strategy to redefining tourist practices while assuring long lasting environmental, social, and economic sustainability.
