Optimal Capacity Allocation of Photovoltaic and Energy Storage Integration in Traction Power Supply Systems
Against the backdrop of global carbon reduction and green sustainable development, this study addresses the integration of renewable energy into electrified railway traction power supply systems to achieve localized consumption and meet the low-carbon transition demands of electrified railways. A novel electrified railway traction power supply system incorporating generation and energy storage is proposed. By combining load data, photovoltaic power forecasts and output scenarios under different conditions are generated. On this basis, the parrot optimizer is employed to optimize capacity allocation, considering both cost and power supply reliability. Using the MATLAB/Simulink simulation platform, the optimal allocation objective of smaller cost and lower load shortage rate is achieved through practical arithmetic verification.
