Design and Implementation of Feasible Model for Water Drowning Detection System
Internet of Things (IoT) technologies have enabled the development of more sophisticated and responsive drowning detection systems that can communicate with each other and with centralized monitoring systems to provide real-time data and alerts. This paper presents an innovative Water Drowning Detection Model (WDDM) to identify potential drowning accidents. Our system is designed to operate seamlessly with or without internet connectivity, providing a robust solution for remote children’s care and detecting whether they are near a water surface and facing unwanted accidents. Our proposed solution provides alerts to enable speedy and effective rescue efforts via notifications/SMS, potentially saving lives. The proposed model responds to emergent protocols and procedures by integrating advanced sensor technologies for real-time monitoring, ensuring a comprehensive approach to drowning detection. The experiments assessed the system’s performance, including dataset details, metrics measured, and benchmarks used.
