Distribution Influence of Pump Sources on the Cooling Performance of the Cold Plate for a 4kW Laser Device
In the field of heat dissipation for fiber laser device, the pump source, as the core heat source of the fiber laser device, directly affects the diffusion path and efficiency of heat on the cold plate. This paper focuses on the pump source arrangement design for a 4kW fiber laser system, proposing three arrangement methods: linear, array, and hybrid configurations. Numerical simulation analyses were conducted using ANSYS FLUENT to evaluate the cooling performance of different arrangements. The results show that, with the hybrid arrangement, the maximum surface temperature of the cold plate is 30.57°C, a 15.32% decrease compared to the linear arrangement. Additionally, the hybrid arrangement offers better temperature uniformity on the cold plate, significantly improving the overall heat dissipation performance.
