Research on Pressure Sensor Coverage Model of the Hybrid III Thorax
In order to thoroughly examine the influence of pressure sensor coverage on signal accuracy during Hybrid III dummy impact tests, a novel approach utilizing Gaussian distribution to model the coverage of pressure sensors has been proposed. Simulation analyses demonstrate that this model can significantly enhance sensor measurement precision, minimize the number of sensors required, expand the measurable coverage area, and increase the certainty in selecting sensor node positions, given the number of sensor nodes. Consequently, it mitigates random coverage errors, and thereby improves the accuracy of measurements related to impact point position.
