VSC-HVDC Adaptive Inertia Setting Method Considering Voltage Security
Frequency information is transmitted between different regions through voltage variations, and in this process, if the voltage variations are too large, it can lead to voltage collapse although it can further promote other regions for frequency support. Considering that voltage deviation affects the inertia of the DC capacitor and voltage safety at the same time. In terms of the control of the converter, this paper proposes an inertia control method to provide a larger inertia when the voltage is sufficient and reduce the provided inertia when the voltage is small while the method can adaptively adjust the inertia according to the frequency variation under the circumstance of guaranteeing the voltage safety and stability.
