Computational Intelligence Approach of IoT in Real Time Smart Agriculture Monitoring

The implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT) into agriculture is rooted in traditional farming practices and based on modern technologies, which allows to achieve an all-new level enhancement productivity, increased resource efficiency conquering sustainability. With the help of this study author investigates the utilization of IoT in agriculture and elaborates on how a network of devices simply collects, processes all real-time input like soil health, weather conditions, crop growth etc. Enabled by the Internet of Things, precision agriculture will fine tune field-by-field management to optimize irrigation water use and fertilizer application and reduce pest control. It is soil moisture sensors with automated irrigation systems that deliver just the right amount of water, thus saving valuable resources and ensuring optimal crop hydration. Drones carry multispectral sensors that can quickly assess crop health and identify pest outbreaks so locally-focused solutions are used, minimizing chemical use with optimal results. IoT can also create new methods of managing the health and behavior of livestock, increasing herd productivity as well as disease management. In addition, IoT enables farm to fork supply traceability contributing towards the food safety and quality. Although there are major advantages, hurdles including increased upfront costs, security concerns and limited rural Internet connections remain to dampen enthusiasm. This subject indicates some evidence relating to the use of IoT in smart agriculture explaining its significant approach for sustainable, efficient and productive farming practices.
