Geospatial Optimization of RTSPV for Advancing Industrial Transformation through Renewable Energy Integration
As the industrial hub in Bangladesh, Chattogram faces increasing challenges concerning balancing rapid industrialization along with environmental sustainability. This study offers a novel method for employing geospatial analysis approaches to maximize the deployment of rooftop solar photovoltaic (RTSPV) systems in industrial environments. The optimal locations for RTSPV installations in Chittagong city is identified using remote sensing data and geographic information systems (GIS). The selection process considers key factors such as solar irradiation, roof orientation, and shading to maximize energy yield and system efficiency. The findings show how geospatial optimization has a great deal of potential to speed up the industrial sectors' adoption of renewable energy, which reduces carbon emissions, saves energy costs, and improves the energy security of Chattogram's industrial sector by incorporating a green energy model that addresses global sustainability goals.
