Smart Stitch: A Mobile App for Personalized Garment Customization and Stitching Guidance

Smart Stitch is an innovative mobile app aimed at easily facilitating both beginners and experts in garment making. Integrating real-time 3D visualization, dynamic simulation of fabrics, and interactive stitching guides, this app allows the user to enter his measurements and visualize customized garments with utmost accuracy. The users have to choose the designs from Kurtis, Anarkali, and blouses while uploading fabric images to see realistic previews of how the chosen materials and patterns will appear on the selected garments. A further advantage of Smart Stitch is step-wise animated sewing instructions and the estimation of materials required for the garment along with costs determined through its estimation tool. The back end of the app engages modern technology such as Three.js, WebGL, and Blender, for real-time rendering, and Python for fabric optimization and cost computation. Future improvements entail the integration of AI-based fabric suggestions, as well as augmented reality for virtual try-ons of garments. Smart Stitch wants to transform the way one does garment creation at home: quickly producing personally tailored, well-fitted garments with ease and accurately fitting pieces.
