Reflecting on Research on Manufacturing Issues in Thailand
The production sector plays a crucial role in the economy of every nation, and Thailand is no exception. Exploring the appropriate issues and conducting additional studies to address gaps or focus on researching unresolved problems is essential. Bibliometric methods are utilized to understand and assess various issues related to research trends in the past and current patterns. This analysis is based on 742 articles indexed in Elsevier’s Scopus database and 542 articles archived in Thomson Reuters’ Web of Science (WoS). The results show a significant increase in research output since 2010. While in the past, the focus was on optimal cultivation conditions (related to agricultural and biological aspects), recent years have seen a shift towards research supporting policies, income, and other issues relevant to farmers. The detailed directions of research and associated issues are presented in the discussion.
