In this paper, we will talk about existing innovative technologies in the field of education, consider their main types, determine the areas of application and the effectiveness of implementation. The innovations described in this article are used in online learning, based on artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality, and other technologies. Based on the works of scientific authors and the rapid digitalization of all spheres of society, we can talk about the relevance of the chosen topic. We will define and classify information technologies, areas of implementation in scientific activity, and provide a comparative description of their practical significance with other teaching tools.
