IMPLEMENTATION OF ESG-PRINCIPLES IN THE REGIONS OF THE NORTH CAUCASUS

In today’s rapidly changing world, the issues of economic growth and social development are becoming more important. The concept of introducing ESG factors turns out to be one of the main aspects affecting all economic processes in the country. During the transition of the Russian economy from an industrial-consumer model of development to a model of sustainable development, the market environment is also being modified, markets for responsible investment and green financial instruments are being improved. For this reason, the corporate sector of the economy needs to undergo an ESG transformation in order to meet modern conditions. The purpose of this scientific work is to study the impact of ESG transformation on the economic environment of the Russian Federation on the example of the regions of the North Caucasus. The problem of the work is the full-scale implementation of ESG principles in the economic processes of the regions of the North Caucasus. Having analyzed the indicators of the cities of the North Caucasus in three main ESG blocks, it can be concluded that the pace of implementation of ESG factors in various spheres of life of companies varies. In order for this difference in the implementation of factors to be eliminated, regions need to implement ESG integration, that is, a comprehensive economic policy that includes the development of all areas of the economy.
