Fuzzy Interpolation Bezier Curve Model of Shoreline Change Rate
Shoreline dynamics are critical for coastal management. Quantifying shoreline change rates accurately presents a challenge, often hindered by inherent uncertainty in measurement data and natural variability. This research aims to develop a robust model capable of handling such imprecision. A Fuzzy Interpolation Bezier Curve model is proposed and utilized. This method integrates fuzzy numbers to represent uncertain shoreline positions data and employs the interpolation of Bezier curves for a smooth curve between data points. Principal results demonstrate the model's effectiveness in generating fuzzy shoreline change rates, reflecting the inherent uncertainty. The study concludes that this fuzzy Bezier approach offers a valuable tool for analyzing and predicting shoreline changes under conditions of uncertainty, aiding coastal planning.
