Redes sociales y comunicación de crisis en el autoritarismo cubano: un análisis de contenido a los tuits del presidente cubano
This article describes the communicative activity in social networks of an authoritarian leader during crisis situations. To explore this condition, the study is approached from a variety of representations, in different temporalities, which allows us to identify a series of characteristics of the use of Twitter in Cuba and the practices related to the crisis in authoritarian contexts. The objective is to identify the response strategies used by Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez on Twitter during the manifestation of various crisis events. It highlights that in the digital part, the mechanisms used fall on symbolic resources for the manifestation of the crisis and a diversity of other resources that can be applied as part of the management of the authoritarian leader. The analysis proves both the opportunity to use the communicative strategies of Coombs (1995) in social networks and the patterns that are established through Twitter.
