Autopresentación y engagement de las políticas de izquierda en Tiktok e Instagram: un estudio comparado entre diputadas de Argentina y España
This paper presents a comparative study of the communication of two Spanish and two Argentinean left-wing female MPs on Instagram and Tiktok. The research analyses how they construct their public image on these platforms, what feminist issues they address and what engagement their publications achieve. The method combines quantitative and qualitative content analysis of their official profiles (N = 920). A residual presence of the private facet was found, which is striking considering its usefulness in humanising the politician and generating engagement; only in the case of Yolanda Díaz was a narrative of everyday life found. As for feminist issues, there was a disparate presence, although common discursive elements were detected. The article also explores how the design of the affordances of each platform favours different forms of political engagement and agency among users.
