Resource allocation for downlink hybrid NOMA with nonideal circuit power consumption
This article studies the latency-constrained downlink resource allocation problem with nonideal circuit power consumption, focusing on the total energy consumption of the base station and the users. First, an optimal downlink Hybrid Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (H-NOMA) scheme for two users is proposed which gives the optimal time and power allocation. Then, we extend the H-NOMA idea to multiple users by combining it with Orthogonal Frequency Domain Multiple Access (OFDMA) and allocate subchannels utilizing the novel Bootstrapped Total-Reward Exchange Stable (B-TES) algorithm. Afterward, via simulations, we show that the H-NOMA method outperforms Orthogonal Multiple Access (OMA) and Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) methods. Finally, we demonstrate that the total energy consumption of the resource allocation by the B-TES algorithm is close to the optimal solution determined by the high-complexity exhaustive search algorithm.
