Application of a Novel Framework to Categorize and Prioritize Nutrition-Focused Research Gaps
Objectives: The NIH Office of Disease Prevention (ODP) works across the NIH to identify evidence gaps for prevention-related research in which nutrition plays a key role. The Community Preventive Services Taskforce (CPSTF) provides evidence-based recommendations about community-based programs, and policies. It helps inform decision-about effective interventions for implementation. The purpose of this project is to test the applicability of a novel framework, using a NASEM-developed taxonomy for characterizing evidence gaps, to targeted nutrition-focused CPSTF recommendations and identify needs for additional research.
