Business Analisis of Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture Sistem
Abstract The aquaculture business is one of the businesses that has the potential to be developed in the waters of the Banda Islands. In order to produce more production by utilizing more than one type of organism in cultivation activities, the cultivation business with a multi-trophic system (IMTA) is very feasible to develop. This research was carried out in the waters of the Kalombo of Nusantara Village, Banda Islands. The purpose of this study is to analyze the cultivation business with the IMTA system, which integrates three biota into one cultivation activity consisting of giant trevally as the main biota, sea cucumber, and seaweed as the secondary biota. This study is to find out the amount of business costs and the amount of income in the cultivation business with the IMTA system and to find out the return on investment costs in the cultural business with the IMTA system in the waters of the Banda Islands. The data collection technique uses observation and interview methods on cultivation activities with the IMTA system for 8 months, starting from the manufacture of floating cage containers, floating rafts, and pen cages, cultivation activities, and the marketing of cultivation products. The results of the study show that the total cost of the cultivation business with the IMTA system is $4,111, and the total revenue value is $5,434. The business profit earned from cultivation businesses with the IMTA system is $1,323. The return cost ratio value is 1.30, or >1, which means that the cultivation business with the IMTA system is feasible and profitable. The value of the payback period is 0.8 years, which means that the return on business investment costs can be done within 9,6 months.
