CURRENT TRENDS IN THE DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OF AGRICULTURE

The article is devoted to the analysis of current trends in the digital transformation of agriculture in the Russian Federation. The purpose of the study is to analyze the directions, technologies and effects of digitalization of the agricultural sector with an emphasis on improving production efficiency, sustainability and competitiveness of agricultural enterprises. The paper uses methods of theoretical generalization and comparative analysis of scientific literature, practical cases of application of digital solutions are considered. The authors summarize theoretical and methodological approaches to digitalization, consider the main technological tools - cloud platforms, artificial intelligence systems, big data, drones and robotic systems – and analyze their impact on agricultural production. As a result of the study, it was found that digital transformation provides increased yields, lower costs, optimized labor costs, adaptation to climate risks, and increased investment attractiveness of enterprises. Along with this, the existing problems of digitalization related to infrastructural, personnel and financial constraints have been identified. The work has practical significance for the formation of strategies for the digital development of agriculture and is recommended for scientists, managers and government representatives. The peculiarity of the study lies in the approach to assessing both technological solutions and institutional conditions for the digital transformation of agriculture.
