Image-Maker in Residence: Towards an Alternative Spatial Practice: Deep mapping off the map
Architect and spatial practice scholar Sana Murrani is The Sociological Review Image-Maker in Residence this summer. Drawing on a two-decades-long study of refugee place-making in Iraq, she talks to curator and fellow architect George Kalivis about the rupturing of geographies during and after war, highlights parallels with the Palestinian genocide, and discusses the making of deep maps as a research method.
