Research on the compression algorithm for GNSS observation data

With the growth of GNSS, navigation satellites are crucial in both military and daily applications. The extensive daily observation data files consume significant storage and network bandwidth. This paper employs a combination of data difference and LZW for compressing GNSS data, developing related software. Experiments show a high compression ratio of up to 88%, indicating excellent results.

Abstract

With the growth of GNSS, navigation satellites are crucial in both military and daily applications. The extensive daily observation data files consume significant storage and network bandwidth. This paper employs a combination of data difference and LZW for compressing GNSS data, developing related software. Experiments show a high compression ratio of up to 88%, indicating excellent results.
