A preliminary results of the local orbit feedback at Taiwan Photon Source

Abstract This study comprehensively analyzes the local orbit feedback implementation at the TPS storage ring. We investigate the orbit response matrix associated with 26 end-correctors corresponding to 13 insertion devices under conditions with the FOFB system engaged. The research employs MICADO and SVD methods to minimize residual errors between current and target orbits. We examine the performance of the local feedback by implementing various singular values and different numbers of the most effective correctors to understand the impacts of the orbit response matrix. Our analysis reveals that the SVD method utilizing the top ten singular values offers optimal performance in horizontal and vertical planes.
