The role of a multidisciplinary team in managing the cardio-renal-metabolic continuum
The cardio-renal-metabolic (CRM) continuum is a concept that emphasizes the close interrelationship of cardiovascular, renal and metabolic disorders. These three components are crucial for an individual’s health and are often associated with chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, heart failure, and chronic kidney disease. In this article, we presented in more detail how a multidisciplinary team contributes to managing the CRM continuum, including a description of the different stages of CRM syndrome, and how different specialists can work together to optimize treatment.
