Arduino Controlled Leading-Edge Phase Dimming for Lighting Control System
This paper investigates LED bulb dimming technology, specifically focusing on leading-edge phase control methodology. A hardware circuit was designed and implemented to evaluate the performance of this technique. The circuit consists of a zero-crossing TRIAC dimmer, an Arduino Nano microcontroller, a dimmable LED bulb as the load, and a TRIAC optocoupler to generate control signals. The testing and analysis aim to assess the performance and cost-effectiveness of leading-edge dimming compared to trailing-edge dimming in lighting applications.
