Smart DC Nanogrid Control for Rural Electrification
This research presents the design and implementation of a smart control system for DC nanogrids aimed at rural electrification. The system integrates renewable energy sources like solar power with advanced control strategies to optimize power distribution and maintain stability under varying conditions, thus addressing the unique challenges of providing reliable energy to remote areas. Findings from simulations demonstrate the system's effectiveness in managing energy flow, significantly reducing energy losses and maintaining a steady power supply. This work contributes to sustainable electrification solutions by enhancing energy accessibility, which can lead to improved living standards and economic growth in isolated communities. The implications of these advancements underscore the system's potential to facilitate cost-effective, environmentally friendly power alternatives, supporting the larger goal of bridging the energy access gap in rural regions.
