Time Censored Reliability Sampling Plans for Inverted Nadarajah–Haghighi Distribution With Minimal and Limited Risks

ABSTRACT A reliability test strategy for the inverted Nadarajah–Haghighi distribution is developed under the type‐I censored life test. The test plans are constructed by utilizing a traditional two‐point method as well as minimizing and limiting a weighted‐average of the producer risk (PR) and consumer risk (CR). Integer nonlinear programming is used to obtain optimal sample sizes with minimal and limited weighted‐average of risks. Several tables and figures are provided to analyze the behavior of the proposed test plan. The results show that the proposed optimal plan with a limited weighted‐average of risks outperforms the traditional optimal two‐point plan for given maximum PR and CR. Two real data applications are provided for illustrative purposes.
