ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS AND HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT IN RESOURCE REGIONS

In the article, the author examines the influence of various environmental factors on the formation of human capital, as they affect the general well-being and health of the population in different regions. The Kemerovo region has a high level of environmental pollution, which negatively affects the health of the population and, as a result, increases morbidity and reduces fertility in the region. The scientific novelty in the article is the substantiation of the influence of environmental factors on fertility. The study highlights the link between the increasing deterioration of the environmental situation and a decrease in the birth rate in the commodity sectors. The discovered relationships between environmental factors and fertility confirm that an increase in pollutant emissions negatively affects fertility rates. In the study, the author emphasizes the insufficiency of environmental protection measures of enterprises that pollute the environment. Thus, the author comes to the following conclusions: an integrated approach is needed to solve the problems of human capital development in the region. The implementation of an integrated approach can significantly affect the overall health and well-being of citizens.
