Some Features of Teaching the Topic “Derivative Function” at School

The article discusses the goals of the task of teaching the topic “derivatives” in a secondary school in introductory algebra and analysis studied in high school, the concept of derivative is one of the key concepts. Here the method of teaching the derivative is discussed, methods of teaching it, situations of using the derivative are considered as the purpose of the article. A group of scientific papers devoted to solving the problem of teaching methods for the topic under consideration is presented.
