Reflection of the Lausanne Treaty on Iranian Journalism
Coverage of journalism for the influential changes in the destiny and rights of Kurds is considered significant historical documentation. Lausanne convention which was held among the coalition countries and some other states in Switzerland (1923) is considered an inclusive and international agreement that its negative effects, after a century, are still felt on the Kurdish national rights. The prime purpose of the research is to analyze the news of three renowned Iranian newspapers during the Lausanne conference. Despite severe censorship and political obstacles, the papers were closely covering the attitudes and the changes due to the course of the conference. The main question of the research:How Iranian newspapers covered the Lausanne conference? To answer the question, the content analysis method is used to analyze the news published in two Persian newspapers: (Shafaq Sarkh) newspaper was a state supporter and (Qarni Bestam) newspaper had a critical perspective. The papers were published in Tehran and covered the Lausanne conference in 1923
