UM ESTUDO ACERCA DA INFILTRAÇÃO POR CAPILARIDADE EM ESTRUTURAS DE ALVENARIA E CONCRETO
This research demonstrates the importance of waterproofing in residential buildings. The study addresses the issue of capillary infiltration in masonry and concrete structures, highlighting its causes, consequences and prevention methods. The work also demonstrates other types, such as condensation infiltration and weather infiltration. The importance of waterproofing during the construction phase is taken into consideration to avoid pathologies such as corrosion of reinforcements, visible mold and displacement of ceramic coatings. Waterproofing solutions such as polymeric mortar and asphalt membranes are used, based on NBR 9575/2010, concluding that investments in waterproofing are more effective and economical than subsequent repairs once the property has been built.
