BREEDING AND PRODUCTIVE QUALITIES OF INTRABREED LINES OF THE KAZAKH WHITE-HEADED CATTLE BREED
The article presents the results of scientific research on the quality of breeding and productivity of Kazakh white-headed cattle bred in the "Sultan" farm in the West Kazakhstan region. The object of the research was the bulls of the Kazakh white-headed breed of large-breasted, Chagatai and Zavolzhsky breeds, which are currently being tested in the Russian Federation, bred in the "Sultan" farm, Akzhaiyk district, West Kazakhstan region. The results of the research showed that all 631 heads of purebred Kazakh white-headed cattle in the herd of the "Sultan" farm are bred. Of these, 37.8% belong to the large-breasted breed, 33.4% to the Chagatai breed and 28.7% to the Zavolzhsky breed. All cattle in the herd are purebred. Currently, more than 75% of the herd's head count meets the elite-record, elite-class standard, which means that the overall herd quality has increased by an average of 15% compared to 2011. Based on the data obtained during the study, the weight superiority of bulls of the Ankat large-horned breed over other groups was 0.7 kg (1.7%; P≥0.05) over the II group, and 1.10 kg (4.6%; P≥0.05) over the III group. At the same time, the use of bulls of the Zavolzhsky and Ankat large-horned breed allows to improve the meat productivity indicators and meat forms of Kazakh Akbas cattle. In terms of chilled carcass weight, the weight of bulls of the Zavolzhsky and Ankat large-horned breeds was 254.5 and 261.4 kg, respectively, which was 11.1 kg (4.6%; P≤0.05) and 28.3 kg (7.4%; P≥0.01) more than that of the Chagatai Tokal horned bulls.
