SKIN STRUCTURE OF YOUNG CROSSBRED SHEEP ANIMALS
The article is devoted to the histological features of the skin of crossbred sheep and includes a comparative analysis of the morphological characteristics of the skin of young meat-wool sheep of Western Kazakhstan. It has been established that the greatest skin thickness is observed in the yaks obtained from rams-producers with quality 48 and 50 in combination with uteruses of 56 quality. In the group, where uteruses of 58 quality were used, the skin was somewhat thinner. In particular, the average skin thickness in the offspring of rams of 48 quality and mothers of 56 quality was 2698.7 μm, whereas in the yokes from rams of 50 quality and mothers of 58 quality, 2548.8 μm. Studies have shown that crossbred lambs are born with well-developed skin and hair cover. The analysis of histological structure revealed that offspring from mothers of 56 quality and rams of 48 and 50 quality have thicker skin and better developed pilar layer, which contributes to the formation of longer wool of 56 quality. At the same time, lambs from rams of 50 quality and mothers of 58 quality are inferior to other groups in terms of total skin thickness and development of the pilar layer, but are distinguished by thicker wool and a favourable ratio of primary and secondary follicles.
