Psychological adjustment and its relationship to psychological hardness among high school students in Tissemsilt Province - a field study at Rabeh Bitat High School

The study aimed to explore the relationship between psychological adjustment and psychological hardness among third-year high school students at Rabeh Bitat High School in Tissemsilt. Engaging a total of 105 students through a comprehensive survey, this study was necessitated by the relatively diminutive size of the research community for the academic year 2022-2023. Utilizing a descriptive correlational-analytical methodology, the research objectives were pursued with the aid of two established instruments: the Psychological Adjustment Scale developed by Dr. Zainab Mahmoud Chakir (2003), and the Psychological Hardness Scale by Imad Mokhaimer (2002), which was adapted to the Algerian milieu by Bachir Maamaria in 2019. Findings from the study reveal a correlation between psychological adjustment and hardiness among the students. Furthermore, the study identifies no discernible variances in psychological adjustment based on gender or specialization, nor any in hardness across these categories among the students at Rabeh Bitat High School in Tissemsilt.
