Recent Advances: Kinetically Controlled Chiral Matters for Soft Assembly, Motion and Optoelectronics
Abstract The emerging field of soft assembly, motion, and optoelectronics has increasingly emphasized the significance of kinetically regulated chiral materials, especially within the liquid crystal domain. This comprehensive review investigates the underlying mechanisms governing electric‐field induced structural transformations, anisotropic behaviors, and tunable parameters relevant to soft assemblies, extending beyond specific materials to encompass a broader range of chiral compounds. The discussion includes optoelectronic applications and technologies that leverage Bragg reflection, optical rotation, and circular dichroism. By emphasizing the diverse applications of chiral liquid crystals in electronics and information technology, this review aims to provide insights into the future directions of kinetic control in soft matter systems.
